2024 Golden Globes Best Hair Look Alikes

Anyone catch the catch the Golden Globes? I don’t generally watch, unless I think I’m going to get a glimpse if I have a client attending, but I always enjoy seeing all the hairstyles. there were a few favorites that are similar to the styles I’ve created recently, so I thought I’d share them, and how to get the styles at home!

First up has to be a favorite because I’m all about the bows. If you’ve seen me in person anytime recently, I’ve been rocking a silk black long bow that I’m head over heels with. When I saw Rachel Brosnahan’s bow, I thought to myself, ‘Yes! she absolutely nailed it.’

I created a similar look about a week before the Golden Globes for a client and her baby shower. We didn’t end up adding the bow, but were both in love with the final sleek look and added just a little bit of bouncey waves.

How to get this look:

Step 1: prep with a leave in and volumizer.

Step 2: blow-dry with a boar bristle round brush and lots of tension. {This client has naturally wavy hair texture.}

Step 3: Use a flat iron with tension and a comb to get a very sleek, straight style.

Step 4: I used a teasing brush sprayed with hair spray to help slick bak her hair and smooth any flyaways.

From JLO’s waves, Taylor Swift’s Globe hair style to Greta Lee’s old hollywood glam bob, glam waves seem to remain a staple.

My client and I created glam waves for New Year’s Eve and I have to say it was the first time I’d created them on a shorter bob. She looked amazing! I was so excited to them on Greta a week and half later.

How to get this look:

Step 1: I prepped her with a leave in and volumizer.

Step 2: I wanted to get a lot of volume in the front so I blow-dried with a round brush, lots of tension and created a bit of curl with my brush. I used roller’s in the front to create good volume to shape the glam waves.

Step 3: Use a curling iron and roll horizontally. When removing, keep the curl in place and slide off the barrel and pin in place.

Step 4: Let sit and set for 5-10 minutes and spray with a texturizer.

Step 5: Use a strong hairspray to help shape the ‘S’ pattern waves and hold in place.

Step 6: Shape the front for as much volume as you like.
